NEW signing Sam Ford made the perfect start to his time at Bury by scoring the only goal of the game.
A tight game played out as both sides struggled to get through two well organised defences.
Halesowen started the game on the front foot and Bury grew into the game.
After 10 minutes Jamie McGrath broke into the Halesowen box for Bury and was sent to ground, but the referee was unimpressed and waved play on.
