LEAGUE newcomers Leighton battled back to earn an impressive opening-day point at Redditch despite having midfielder J’ardell Stirling in goal for more than an hour.
Visiting custodian Dan Hosier was called into action early on to keep out a Danny King effort.
Unfortunatrly, though, he had to be helped off the field after 25 minutes after picking up an injury.
With no keeper named on the bench, Stirling donned the gloves for the remainder of the game and produced a decent display.
