Bar got off to a sensational start when Albie Hall scored his first goal for the club, converting a diving header from close range from a Johnny Allotey cross.
Lawrence Ajong had Hertford level minutes later when he was played through and slotted home.
After a stop-start period, Hussein Issa lit up the game on his debut to make it 2-1, beating his man and smashing home.
