Daggers have Carroll singing

Andy Carroll is enjoying on and off-field roles with National League South club Dagenham and Redbridge.

He was once the subject of a British record transfer, proudly wore the colours of West Ham United, Liverpool and his beloved Newcastle United, and scored for England at a major tournament.
So you may think preparing for a new season as player-assistant manager and shareholder with a National League South club may not provoke excitement within former Premier League star Andy Carroll.
Not so, says the man himself as he assessed what lies ahead for Dagenham & Redbridge during a campaign that got underway with an eagerly anticipated visit to Dorking Wanderers yesterday.
