QUORN earned their first point of the season with a battling draw at home to Redcar Athletic.
The Methodists came into the game on the back of a heavy 5-0 home defeat on Tuesday but showed real strength of character to bounce back against Redcar.
The first half was a cagey affair with Athletic starting brighter and looking to dominate the game.
But they struggled to force debutant goalkeeper Jake Laban into a save and as the half wore on Quorn grew into it and started to have chances of their own.
