Whether Abdul Abdulmalik stays or not, the rest of the National League have a Boreham Wood problem regardless.
Luke Garrard’s side have, essentially, just picked up where they left off in May despite that heartbreaking promotion final defeat to Rochdale at Wembley where they were just seconds, literally, from history.
As with any disappointment in that manner, the temptation is to look for the cliched hangover at the start of the next campaign.
It looks like Wood knocked back their Alka-Seltzer the following morning and cracked on as normal.
