■TAKELEY secured victory over Brightlingsea Regent, with a goal in each half settling the contest.
The hosts took the lead three minutes before half-time when Charlie Heatley found the net. Takeley held their advantage into the break, with Brightlingsea Regent unable to find a response.
The visitors continued to battle after the restart, but Takeley remained in control and protected their narrow lead. The hosts then doubled their advantage in the 84th minute when Dean Forbes scored.
