■ A GOAL in each half proved enough for Exmouth to see off ten-man Slimbridge.
After an even opening when Slimbridge created the better chances, the game changed when the visitors were reduced to ten men following a straight red card to Jacob Rodgers after 29 minutes.
Four minutes later, Exmouth went ahead when a Joe Belsten header from an Owen Johnson corner squeezed its way into the bottom corner.
Callum Godfrey made one superb save to deny Aarron Denny as Town went into half time the solitary goal ahead.
