A CHANCE phone call to the former Barnet and Dagenham & Redbridge boss John Still has led to 27-year-old Mauro Vilhete signing for the Daggers until the end of the season from Hampton & Richmond, with the National League South club’s season being mothballed.
“I’d not spoken to John in a while, I wanted to see how he was getting on,” Vilhete explained. “He asked what I was up to football wise, then he said that he’d ask the Dagenham manager, Daryl McMahon, if I could come in for training.
