SPIREITES RE-SHAPE ACADEMY

CHESTERFIELD have relaunched their academy set-up, under a new umbrella.
The Spireites announced back in February that their academy would cease to operate from June 30, coinciding with the withdrawal of Football League funding.
But now they have confirmed that the junior and youth system at the club will be restructured, under the banner of the club’s Community Trust.
“[The system] will continue to benefit local children, working in partnership with grassroots clubs and the Trust’s ETC programme,” a statement read.
