Play-offs will keep 5 alive

IN response to Jackie Shepshed’s letter “Keep 5 alive!” (Fans’ Forum, April 9), I believe having play-offs to determine promotion from Step 5 would be good. However, a number of clubs do not want or can not afford to play at Step 4 so this would not be feasible.

I AGREE with Jackie Shepshed, there is an obvious bottleneck in promotion places at Step 5 and I think play-offs are the answer.
After the restructuring we should have three relegation places at Step 4 with the seven extra promotion spots localised.
