I COULD not agree more with Steve Rudrum’s letter.
Having seen all Chesterfield’s home games from Division 1 to the National League I have not been aware of any difference in refereeing standards – in fact I have noticed excellent officialdom recently with some very fit referees and assistants who would do justice to the EFL.
As for Mr Reynolds’ earlier letter regarding penalty awards in the Barnet match, I cannot recall any controversy and had there been any the home crowd would have been up in arms.
Perhaps he was at another game?
