I READ with interest the quotes from Sophie Cope about the departure of Grantham Town’s management team (NLP, March 1). To the club’s credit, the management team of Paul Rawden, Russ Cousins and Adam Smith had plenty of time to steady the ship in an era of boards with itchy trigger fingers.
What I would disagree with is her suggestion that the “flak” was “unjustified”. Last season, no fewer than EIGHTY different players turned out for the club at one stage.
I’m not sure if that’s a record but it’s certainly not a recipe...
