What is the Purpose of Creating a Tesla Bot?

Elon Musk recently unveiled the Tesla Bot, a machine that has a close approximation to humans. In the presentation, there was also a dancer dressed like a robot who entertained the crowd.

The burning question is: what is the purpose of creating the Tesla Bot. Knowing that Elon Musk is against artificial general intelligence, it seems absurd that he would support its culmination.

Elon Musk explained that the purpose of the humanoid Tesla Bot is to perform repetitive and boring tasks. Specifically, these are tasks that humans hate doing. For example, the Tesla Bot could run the cash register in a grocery. In the future, the Tesla Bot could also perform manual labour of other sorts.

It seems that the Tesla Bot is the start of a movement where Tesla would gear away from car manufacturing. However, one must consider that Tesla is not your typical manufacturer. Tesla has cars that have autopilot technologies.

The robot stands at 5 feet and 8 inches and weighs 125 pounds. The plan is to incorporate this robot into the car products of Tesla. It is going to plan how the car could navigate routes, follow them and even avoid pedestrians.

Combination with Neuralink

If this technology ever progresses, it is going to be a machine that could interface with Neuralink. Neuralink is a company that is developing the technology of implantable-brain machine interfaces. In the industry, people call it the BMI.

The company was founded by the same man, Elon Musk. The goal is to create machines that can treat brain diseases. In the future, its goal is a human enhancement, something that is akin to dystopian sci-fi movies where humans have machines in their brains.

For now, the short-term goal is to make the robot able to perform duties. In the long term, it will be semi-sentient. In time, the robot will have access to Neuralink or get integrated with it. It means that the robot will have the capacity to think because the Neuralink allows it to do so.

Neuralink can help people improve their lives if they are suffering from some form of paralysis. So far, the most successful experiment with Neuralink is a monkey that controlled the interface of a game with its mind.

The monkey was a 9-year-old macaque that had one Neuralink implanted in its brain. They record the neurons fired as the monkey controls the game with a joystick. These neurons are analyzed and decoded, and it helps the Neuralink machine understand how the monkey’s neurons are filing as it moves its arms. As the machine decodes it, it is now able to transmit that message to the game wirelessly.

As these same neurons fire, the Neuralink understands what the monkey is trying to do. Neuralink now transmits that information to the game, even if the joystick is disconnected, and the game will recognize that signal as if it is coming from a joystick.

Impact on Health

If this robot becomes capable, it will be able to service people from home. It is going to be a massive help in monitoring critically ill patients. It can never replace humans, but it can help with basic tasks such as reading health diagnostics.

If this ever happens, the robot will certainly receive a program with which it can make decisions. For example, it can call the authorities if the ill person is suffering from a serious symptom.

The robot will also be able to perform other duties, such as operating simple types of machinery like the washing machine or the dishwasher.

Those who have paralysis will also be able to work and play games with the help of this robot. It is possible for the robot to open a computer and boot it. Since both the robot and the owner have access to Neuralink, the human can order the robot to access sites and games like demo slot machines. Then, the human could control the computer either with his brain or the robot.

The technology of Neuralink has already done amazing things. If it can work on humans and animals, it can work on the Tesla Bot. The robot can do things for humans like assist in accessing sites like GGBet casino online, wash the dishes, pick up the grocery, and more.
