CRAIG ELLIOTT says he leaves Boston United with his head held high following his surprise departure with the Pilgrims in the National League North play-off places – and he wants to return to a dug-out sharpish.
Elliott was axed following a run of three defeats with long-serving chairman David Newton admitting it was the hardest decision he’s had to make in football.
Former Shaw Lane boss Elliott only completed one full season in charge of Boston and took them to the promotion final in 2019-20 where they narrowly lost to Altrincham.
