Bangor is steeped in history

I WAS so sad to hear that Bangor City, a club with such a glorious and proud history, have now withdrawn from the Welsh football pyramid and had their record expunged from JD Cymru North.
I am old enough to remember their days in the Northern Premier League in the 1970s and 1980s, and I watched many of their memorable games against my club, Marine, both at Marine and at Bangor’s atmospheric former ground of Farrar Road.
I hope that it is not long before there is once again a Bangor team representing the north Wales town.
