DEAN GREENWOOD has stepped down after just two months in charge of Ashford Town (Middx) – insisting he’d rather be a coach or an assistant than a number one.
Greenwood – the former Camberley Town player and Knaphill coach – stepped in to replace Luke Tuffs in January after he left to join Leatherhead.
“Management just isn’t for me at this moment in time,” said the 40-year-old on stepping aside to allow assistant Paul McCarthy to steer the Tangerines’ ship until the end of the season.
