Treatment of boss Dowse lacked class

THE recent dismissal of Alan Dowson by Woking FC has left a sour taste for many people in the Non League game. A 20-second phone call after all he has done for the club and its’ community is unacceptable at any level.
Dowse achieved promotion at the first attempt, settled the club in the National League once again, reached the FA Cup third round, the FA Trophy semi-finals and raised money constantly throughout his tenure by integrating himself within the community. Surely all of these achievements give him credit in the bank? Sadly not.
