PAUL FAIRCLOUGH says England C were overwhelmed by the best Wales C team they’ve come up against – and says Non-League’s Lions will learn from the experience.
Having picked an open-age squad for the first time since 2008, hopes were high for big return for the C team, who haven’t played since June 2019.
Experienced boss Fairclough did have to reshuffle the squad from his original picks but points out that has always been the case as he handed 15 of the 16 debuts. But it was Mark Jones’ side who took charge of the game from the off.
