Final venue comes at a cost to fans

I WAS disappointed to see that this year’s National League promotion final is to be played in the capital, causing traffic nightmares for those expected to be involved.
As things stand, of all the teams currently in a play-off position, Solihull Moors is the nearest to West Ham’s ground. For their fans, that’s a 260-mile round trip. Should Wrexham get through, their fans face a 450-mile round trip.
With fuel at the price it is, can’t some concern be shown for the paying fans by playing the final closer to home?
