Spare some thought for secretaries

SCRAWLING through the final League tables, I see some unfortunate clubs have once again had the misfortune to suffer points deductions.
Please have some sympathy for the poor overworked secretary who always seems to carry the can even when they are not always fully to blame.
Indeed, I know of one unfortunate clubman who, despite bringing in over £30,000 in sponsorship, was made to feel unwanted after a genuine error and left the club.
Most secretaries at this level are part-time, unpaid volunteers who do their very best in the minefield of football administratio...
