HAVANT & Waterlooville have got their summer shopping off to an impressive start with the signing of veteran striker Danny Wright – and two promising National League South talents Joash Nembhard and Gio Crichlow.
The trio join the Hawks’ first summer signing from a fortnight ago, ex-Dorking Wanderers striker Jason Prior, 33, as boss Paul Doswell looks to assemble a promotion-pushing side following last season’s disappointment of missing out on the play-offs.
Wright, 37, joins after two seasons at National League Torquay United, who he almost helped back into the Football League only to lose a penalty shoot-out to Hartlepool United in the Promotion Final just over a year ago.
The striker brings a wealth of experience from a career that includes Histon, Cambridge United, Wrexham – where he won the FA Trophy – Forest Green Rovers, Solihull Moors and Cheltenham, where he won the National League title.
Centre-back Nembhard arrives from Hemel Hempstead Town.
The 24-year-old, who has also played in Wales for The New Saints, made 30 appearances for the Tudors last season, scoring three goals.
Also joining is highlyrated Crichlow, who made a big impression at Braintree Town with six goals and a number of assists from wide areas in the last campaign.
The pacy 24-year-old joined the Iron from Hanwell Town and has also had spells at Chelmsford City and Hendon.
He represented Barawa in the Conifa World Cup.
