Losing their two top goalscorers seems far from ideal preparation for a return to the National League for Gateshead.
The departure of Macaulay Langstaff and Cedwyn Scott to Notts County came as the Magpies completed a quadruple swoop on last season’s National League North after Kidderminster Harriers duo Sam Austin and Geraldo Bajrami also moved to Meadow Lane.
