Grieving Basford United have revealed that a percentage of the proceeds from their attractive pre-season friendly against Notts County will be donated to charity following the sad passing of newly appointed chairman Jamie Brough.
The National League Magpies make the short trip across the city on Tuesday, July 5 (7.45pm), and a portion of gate receipts will be presented to the Brough family prematch by representatives of both clubs with their full support.
The final total will later be donated to Sport in Mind, the UK’s leading mental health sports charity.
