Michael Gash was 16 when he made his debut for Cambridge City in the newly-formed Conference South.
Nearly two decades later, the striker is back at Step 2 as the spearhead of upwardly mobile Peterborough Sports.
In the interim, he forged a reputation as one of Non-League’s most accomplished target men with the likes of York City, Cambridge United, Kidderminster Harriers and Barnet, where he finally achieved his dream of playing in the EFL.
