IT IS just over two years since Nathan Harker saw his Premier League dreams come to an end when his release from Newcastle United was confirmed.
The Northampton-born goalkeeper had been handed a tantalising glimpse of the big time by Rafa Benitez when he was named as a substitute for an FA Cup third round tie against Blackburn Rovers.
Harker failed to make a senior appearances but sharing a dressing room with the likes of Jonjo Shelvey, Matt Ritchie and Jamaal Lascelles had whet the appetite for more.
