They say shy bairns get nowt – and that was certainly the case for Stowmarket Town boss Paul Musgrove.
Tipped  off that Ed Upson was leaving League Two Stevenage, Musgrove chanced his arm and asked if the 32-yearold would entertain a drop to Step 4.
Incredibly, the former Yeovil Town, Millwall, MK Dons, Bristol Rovers and Newport County midfielder agreed and is now back where it all began.
Upson spent his teenage years at Greens Meadow before being picked up by Ipswich Town’s youth academy.
He would go on to make 482
