EAST Thurrock United are a step closer to securing a new home after ambitious owner Alfie Best confirmed the purchase of a sports ground little more than half a mile away from their Rookery Hill ground.
Local entrepreneur and businessman Best has completed the purchase of the 22-acre former Pegasus Sports Club in Corringham – and he hopes to turn it into a facility fit for the Rocks and the whole community to use.
