OLDHAM Athletic boss John Sheridan reckons he has signed an “important player” in winger Luke Burgess.
The 23-year-old former Everton and Wigan Athletic man has joined the National League newcomers from Salford City.
Burgess played 21 games for the Ammies last season
and has also enjoyed loan spells at Barrow and AFC Fylde.
Sheridan said: “Luke is a player who can bring real creativity to the team with chances and goals.”
Burgess is joined at Boundary Park by midfielder, Nathan Sheron, 24, who arrives from Harrogate Town.
