FENMEN A FIT FOR METTAM

FORMER Lincoln City, Tamworth, King’s Lynn Town and Spalding United striker Leon Mettam has taken over as manager of Wisbech Town.
Mettam, who last season was assistant at Frickley Athletic when they were relegated from the Northern Premier League Division One East to the Northern Counties East League, fills the void left by the shock departure of Allan Ross, citing personal reasons.
Mettam, 35, who plans to make the occasional appearance for Wisbech as substitute, has appointed ex-Grantham and Stamford midfielder Danny Brooks as his assistant.
