The next day, marchers will set off from Fratton Park, Portsmouth, and pass Eastleigh's Silverlake Stadium before ending at Southampton's St Mary's Over the weekend further marches take place in the West Midlands and London, stopping off at venues such as Villa Park and Plough Lane and finishing at Millwall.

Chief executiveof Prostate Cancer UK Laura Kerby said: “Our walks have seen supporters, clubs and football personalities unite brilliantly against the deadliest opponent of all, prostate cancer.

“One man dies every 45 minutes from prostate cancer; it's the most common cancer in men. But everyone who embraced these mega marches, including the brilliant Jeff Stelling, has allowed us to raise a game-changing sum of money and make massive progress in our goal to make this a disease that mean and their families no longer fear.”

Sky stalwart Stelling has led the marches in previous years. He describes them as “unbelievable”, adding that it was “brilliant to see them continuing their football marching legacy this year and I'd wholeheartedly recommend getting involved with the brilliant charity.”
