DAVE Cooke is confident Nantwich Town would have rallied after a slow start and says the timing of his departure as manager has stung him.
Cooke’s five-year spell in charge of the Dabbers ended following an FA Cup exit at the hands of lower-ranked Cheshire neighbours Congleton – agame the 63-year-old missed because of illness.
