COOPER STEPS UP

VETERAN midfielder Ryan Cooper has been appointed as Selby Town’s interim manager following the departure of Christian Fox and his assistant Jonny Bruce by mutual consent.
Fox, who had been in charge since 2017, and Bruce left the club last Saturday’s Northern Counties East Division One 7-1 home drubbing by Campion.
A club statement said: “We would like to offer our sincerest thanks to both Christian and Jonny for their hard work and contributions over the past five seasons and we wish them every success in their future endeavours.
