CITY EYE SCOTS CUP VIA HISTORIC TREATY

AMBITIOUS Doncaster City are waiting on a formal response to a cheeky application to compete in the Scottish Cup – by using to a 12th Century treaty.
The club, bankrolled by Sports Direct, have just unveiled exciting new stadium plans and currently sit top of the Sheffield & Hallamshire County Senior League Division Two at Step 9 of the pyramid.
But now they want to take part in the Scottish Cup next season and used a treaty from the 12th century which states that Doncaster is legally part of Scotland.
