A DERBY at Nuneaton might be a meaningful milestone for Hinckley LRFC – but boss Neil Lyne insists the journey is just getting started.
The club was formed as Leicester Road – hence the LR – in November 2013 by the directors of Hinckley United a month after the then-Step 3 outfit went to the wall.
A tumultuous period saw those officials go one way but many fans go another to form Hinckley AFC, leading to a battle over the United’s headquarters and which outfit should be deemed as its phoenix club.
