CARETAKER chief Chris Herbst has been appointed as the permanent new manager of the struggling South West Peninsula Premier East outfit Bridport Town.
The club’s reserve team boss has been running the first team on an interim basis since the sacking of Edgar Marcu in September, and has now become the Bees’ seventh manager in three years.
Bridport were relegated from the Western Premier after finishing bottom last season under Rob Marquis, and have been propping up the table this term after failing to win a single game during Marcu’s seven-match reign.
