REFEREE DIES AFTER BEING HIT BY A BALL

TRIBUTES have been paid to “much respected” referee Michael Grant who died in hospital five days after being hit by the ball while officiating a school match in Lincolnshire.
Mr Grant suffered the freak injury during the game at Carre’s Grammar School in Sleaford, four miles from his home in Ruskington, on October 19.
