LIGHTNING didn’t strike twice at the Deeside Stadium as Connah’s Quay Nomads took ample revenge on Colwyn Bay for their JD Welsh Cup defeat last season.
It was a quarter-final clash that saw the JD North side defeat the then reigning Premier Division champions 2-0. This time it was a third round clash and the Nomads stretched their unbeaten run to 11 games as they became the first side this season to beat the Seagulls as they won 4-0.
