IT was such a cunning plan: a beautifully formed, perfect plan. Many months ago, I accepted an invitation to give a wildlife talk on a Saturday evening to a birding group in South Wales. I expected to do the same this year but the group switched from face-to-face meetings to Zoom so it suddenly struck me that I couldn’t go far for my football being as I had to be home by 6.30pm.
