In the latest in our series we pick the brains of a man who finished his playing career and stepped into the world of coaching at Non-League’s top table before moving into the women’s game – Birmingham City Women head coach Darren Carter.
Carter came through the ranks at St Andrew’s and scored the winning penalty in a shootout at the Millennium Stadium to fire the Blues into the Premier League at the expense of Norwich City in 2002.
