MOVING to a new home ground in town can help kick-start semi-professional football in Widnes.
At least that’s the ambition of club chair man Ian Ross after proposing to the local council that playing fields off Dundalk Road in the town be redeveloped.
“People think this is a rugby league town and that’s untrue,” he said.
“In any case, we’re not here to diss other sports. This is about making ourselves more visible.”
