AXING ANDERSON A ‘TOUGH CALL’

CHERTSEY Town chairman Mark Turner says sacking manager Dave Anderson was “the most difficult conversation I’ve had in my life”, but insists the FA Vase winning boss “will forever remain a legend of the club”. The former AFC Wimbledon boss was axed after a 2-1 defeat at Thatcham left the Curfews outside of the Isthmian South Central play-offs.
“This is a situation I never wanted to be in,” Turner told Surrey Live.
“He will be an absolute legend of the club forever more. History doesn’t change that.”
