Bury merger is just Fan-tastic!

WHILE I can’t pretend to have an allegiance to the club or area, my heart was warmed when I read news of the decision of the two Bury fan groups to vote in favour of a merger.
The fact this will lead to the return of live football at Gigg Lane is fantastic and, in my opinion, long overdue.
What the Shakers’ supporters went through with the demise of Bury FC thanks to complete mis-management of the club was awful.
For many football fans, it was a stark reminder that this could happen to anyone’s team.
