BUOYANT Billy Paynter says it’s a ‘privilege’ to have become the first contracted manager in Runcorn Linnets’ history.
The former Port Vale, Swindon and Leeds striker initially took the reins at the end of March. Previously first team coach, the 38-yearold stepped up after the dismissal of Dave Wild and successfully guided the Cheshire club to the NPL West play-offs.
