Disciplinary measures must be consistent

THE FA seem to have two sets of rules when it comes to discipline – and finances.
When clubs in the Premier League, Championship and Leagues One and Two are late paying salaries or other financial mismanagement generally get a slap on the wrist. In contrast, Non-League clubs get nearly broken.
Ivan Toney bet over 200 times for five years but, incredibly, he gets an eight month ban. A similar offence in most other sports, or in Non-League football, would impose a ban for much longer.
Worse still, serial referee abuser Jurgen Klopp gets hit with a two-game ban...
