WARREN Feeney says the opportunity to take over his hometown club was an opportunity he just “couldn’t turn down”.
The 42-year-old former Northern Ireland international striker has stood down as boss at Welling United to take the reins at Irish Premiership club Glentoran.
Feeney is from the same East Belfast region as the Glens while his son George is in the Academy. They will be playing in the Europa League qualifying stages next year after finishing third in the Irish Premiership.
