POPULAR CHARITY TOURNAMENT NEARS

THE POPULAR Graham Edwards Memorial Trophy in Gobowen near Oswestry kicks-off on Sunday, July 9.
The annual local charity tournament in aid of Leukaemia Research is named after young footballer Edwards, who passed away aged just 21 in 1974.
All matches are played at Gobowen Playing Fields on St Martins Road with two groups of four, culminating in a final on Sunday, July 30 (3pm kick off).
Last year’s winners Gobowen Celtic get this year’s edition underway against Llangollen Town Reserves, kick-off 11am.
