CONNOR RACES TO RESCUE…

CONNOR Heath might have expected a bit of praise after helping to pull a stranded couple from quicksand this week.
The 22-year-old midfielder was training on Crosby beach with National North side Southport when the pair got into difficulty.
Heath – or should that be Heathelhoff –raced to the scene and, aided by several teammates, was able to save the day.
The rescue made national news, with the couple also appearing on local radio to thank the players for their efforts. Gaffer Liam Watson, though, was less impressed.
