PITMEN GLAD TO BE BACK!

ASK most people to pick the biggest game in Hednesford Town’s illustrious history and not many would pick a pre-season friendly.
However, if boss Danny Glover’s wish to see the 2004 FA Trophy winners flourish once more comes to fruition then the hardy Pitmen fans who popped along to Tuesday’s 5-2 win at Stourport Swifts might just mention this one.
It was the first game back after a summer which almost saw the 143-year-old club close after a deal to replace outgoing owners Graham Jones and Hayden Dando collapsed.
