Stadium battle won’t effect Iron title aim, chief

CHAIRMAN David Hilton insists Scunthorpe United’s on-field ambitions will be ‘unaffected’ by the court battle to evict the club from Glanford Park – whatever the outcome.
Hilton and Peter Swann, the man he bought the Iron from in January, remain locked in a wrangle over the purchase of the stadium and surrounding land.
An exclusivity period expired in May with Hilton citing a lack of progress on legal issues, including an unregistered strip of land on the site. An unverified statem...
